Process_Description:

Boundaries for fishing areas were marked on NOAA nautical charts by local fisheries biologists and recreational fishing groups. All boundaries were consolidated onto one nautical chart, which was scanned into a TIFF image. The image was registered and rectified using ArcInfo. Boundaries were heads-up digitized in ArcView as shapefiles, and then converted into coverages in ArcInfo where they were edited and cleaned.
